New personnel changes in UT’s Treasurer’s Office

 

The University of Tennessee’s Purchasing Department, Accounts Payable Department, and Treasurer’s Office have recently undergone a few changes in personnel. 

 

Mr. Rip Mecherle, CFA is the university’s new Executive Director of Investments.  He is a chartered financial analyst and has several years of asset management experience.  He will be responsible for managing the university’s investments.  He received his M.B.A. from Cornell University.

 

Ms. Samantha Johnson has been named as the new Director of Purchasing.  She has worked in university administration for 11 years, most recently as Director of the University of Tennessee Information Technology Business Office.  She is an alum of the UT College of Business.

 

Mr. Blake Reagan is now Director of Contract Administration in the Office of the Treasurer.  An alum of UT’s College of Law, he previously worked as a contract analyst for the Treasurer’s Office since 2008.

 

Ms. Sabrina Soltau has assumed Blake’s previous responsibilities as the contract analyst for the Treasurer’s Office.  She is also a graduate of the UT College of Law.

 

Ms. Janet West retired from the Treasurer’s Office after 30+ years of service.

 

Ms. Teresa Ford has been named the Assistant Director of Accounts Payable.  She has taken over many of Janet’s former duties and will be the supervisor for the contract and petty cash positions.

 

Ms. Susan Wilson is now the procurement card administrator. The responsibilities for this program have been consolidated under Ms. Wilson and she will be able to respond to any questions about procurement cards.
